Yes, the name is a mouthful, but this seasonal brew backs it up. Originally released last year under BJ’s “Brewmaster’s Reserve” line of seasonal beers as the, “Imperial Red Ale”, it is now carrying the ‘Goliath’ moniker.

The current early 2014 batch is maltier than the standard BJ’s Jeremiah Red, but adds a bitter bite that will appeal to IPA enthusiasts (60 IBUs vs 25 IBUs), and carries a slightly higher ABV (9.0% vs 7.3%).

If you like amber ales, definitely treat yourself to a glass of the Goliath at a BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse before this limited batch dries up.
