On 19 July 2025 I attended the PRS Regional match held in Pala (CA) at a private range.
This is an official PRS Regional match for Centerfire and is actually the first official PRS Centerfire match I ever participated in.
My main reason for attending was to shoot my NRL Hunter rifle in something other than a casual range session. PRS has the new(ish) Sportsman Division which is essentially NRL Hunter but with a 13 lb limit instead of 12 lb limit for NRLH Open Light. Granted, PRS Sportsman requires all components attached to the rifle during the match (including magazine) to be included in the overall weight and is restricted to only 6.5 Creedmoor.
That being said, this match did not complete as the match was called off halfway through due to a fire. We evacuated the range after first responders were called and arrived on site.
