I decided to skip out on watching the game on Super Bowl Sunday since I’d just be stuffing my face if I was sitting on the couch. Instead, I went to the range to try break out three new pieces of kit.
First off is the new Really Right Stuff Versa-43i tripod which was just announced and released a few days ago, only to sell out after 24 hours. According to RRS, this is a limited edition run and this exact tripod won’t be produced, again. In either case, this is a 3-segment inverted tripod which I was actually looking to acquire by way of another brand (not RRS). But RRS came out with one just in time.
The second piece of kit is the Bushnell 15×56 Match Pro ED binoculars. This has been out for a couple years and the only reason I have one is because there was a huge price discount on the Bushnell website which made it a no brainer purchase so I could try it out.
The other new gear I brought out for the range session is the @Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED Tactical Edition watch. There were a couple of things that got me looking at a Garmin watch, such as the Xero C2 integration. While these were not huge benefits to me to push me to get a Garmin smart watch, I decided to get one for another event where this watch could be used. More on this watch and my reasoning for getting it will be made public in an article in the near future.
