I went down to Pala to shoot in another NRL Hunter Train Up / Practice Match hosted by the SoCal Long Range Club. SCLR held one back in November 2025 and my feedback for the hosts is that even though we ran long and had to cut out a couple stages, I found the session very valuable.
Jeff and Hans with the SCLR did a great job getting six (6) stages setup for a small group to run through, and we finished in around 4 hours with a group of 11 people. I felt this was pretty good time considering we did a leap frog run through with some people RO’ing a stage after shooting to run people through to the next stage.
Practicing NRL Hunter / blind stages is extremely difficult since the whole point of a blind stage is not knowing in advance where the targets are located, how far they are away, and how the stage is supposed to be shot (e.g. off specific barricades, within specific parameters). Thus, you can’t setup a blind stage for yourself and the only way to practice is if you got a group of friends who all setup stages for one another.
