Range Vlog #055 – 2018-05-23

A gloomy morning of testing. Trying out Alliant Reloder 16 (RL16) for the very first time in 6mm Creedmoor. Also using a Magnetospeed for the first time, and on the Masterpiece Arms Magnetospeed mount.

Excellent initial comparison of Labradar and the newly acquired magnetospeed. I’m a Labradar fan, own one and swear by it. Just remember to always have your battery pack recharged or spare batteries for it, as I learned the hard way when I ran out of juice the other day on my battery pack because I hadn’t recharged it in a while. Good blog on ammo/brass reloading also. Great Blog!

My 3+ year old Anker battery pack has been holding up well and retains the charge for a long time, at least enough to power the Labradar. I hadn’t recharged it in about 6 months from yesterday’s range session. But yes, it would suck to not have power. I don’t carry AA’s. Six is a lot to carry in general. Worst case though, I can charge the battery pack off my vehicle using the same charger I use for my phone.
