I went to the range very early Sunday morning specifically to function test my NRL Hunter rig after making more tweaks to the magazine catch of the MDT Precision Bottom Metal in the MDT CRBN stock.
Not only did I further optimize for AW magazines, I dug up my forgotten American Rifle Company 10-round ‘AICS’ double-stack hybrid magazines. The ARC magazines have been discontinued in so far as they are no longer being produced. I had problems with them early on with my Mausingfield in 6mm Creedmoor that I never used them. Fast-forward to present day and I have LRI followers for the ARC magazine which appear to minimize/mitigate any nose-diving in the magazine.
I only shot 19 rounds in the NRLH rifle, but in combination with dummy rounds, I was able to get 100% successful round feeds from magazine with zero failures.
I also attached the new Area 419 SG Pulse mount for the Area 419 scope mounts/rings to my NRL Hunter rig just to try out.
Lastly, I hopped over to a private bay to fire some rounds in my trusty Glock 19 Gen 3, which is my workhorse pistol that does everything from CCW to range practice.
