I finished off the Thanksgiving holiday weekend by heading out to Escondido for an NRL Hunter style match. Earlier in the week, I received an email from the SoCal Long Range Club of an NRLH Train Up / Practice Match that was being held.
Practicing NRL Hunter stages is difficult by virtue of the fact that you really can’t setup blind stages yourself as you will know where the targets are at when you shoot. Thus, I wanted to attend this event to get some NRLH practice and try out gear setup, workflows, and tactics.
The invite originally indicated 8 stages, but it was expanded to 10. However, we only go through 7 before it was called for time / logistics as my squad finished our 7th stage at around 1500.
Nonetheless, this NRLH Practice Match was a good event as I was able to really test equipment, workflow, and really practice glassing to find targets.
