Range Vlog #046 – 2017-11-29

  • Date: 29 November 2017
  • Location: West End Gun Club (Meyers Canyon, CA)

NOTE: The opening sequence is out of focus because I misconfigured the auto focus.

Had a vacation day and headed out to the range to rezero the CZ 455 after swapping out the Murphy Precision scope base with the newly released Area 419 CZ 455 scope base (30MOA). Unfortunately, the day was quite windy for shooting .22LR, but I made the best of it

Good info on scope mounting. Regarding Labradar….instruction booklet clearly states you need that microphone for it to function. Not a defect in the Labradar if you can’t get it to work without the microphone. Just the way it is built. I’d take my Labradar over any other system any day, think you concur too. Just my 2 cents worth…if you want to register .22 muzzle velocities with a Labradar…ya gotta have that microphone setup…Semper Fi…Ron

I thought the microphone was only ‘required’ in the sense of detecting the shot going off, not tracking the bullet. When I have a chance, I will email the folks at Labradar.
