Range Vlog #386 – 2026-11-05

I went to the range for a quick session before work in order to break-in the new rifle build in 6.5 PRC (AW).

This rifle is built on a Lone Peak Arms Fuzion Medium Alpine cut action (purchased before MDT acquired Lone Peak). My local gunsmith cut the 6.5 PRC (AW) chamber into a Bartlein carbon wrap 24″ 1:7.5 twist barrel as it sits in a Manners Sport Comp stock.

To test and break-in the rifle, I acquired three different factory ammunition:

1. Berger 6.5mm PRC 153.5 LRHT
2. Federal Premium 6.5mm PRC 120gr Trophy Copper
3. Hornady Outfitter 6.5mm PRC 130gr CX
