Why is the weather always bad on weekends?

posted in: Rant, Shooting 0

It seems like when the weather gets bad in Southern California, it’s always on a weekend. I’m outdoors a lot on weekends (shooting), so I do get affected by poor weather.

I haven’t shot in a sanctioned match since July, and the last practice match I shot was in September. The August XTC match at Camp Pendleton was cancelled and the September XTC match experienced rain (they still held the match, but I skipped it). Then tomorrow’s unsanctioned XTC match at West End is cancelled due to the expected 30mph+ winds.

It looks like I’ll be going into next the Creedmoor Cup this upcoming week in a ‘cold’ state. Obviously, I practice at my regular range every Sunday as far as 200 yard standing and sitting are concerned. But it would have been nice to get in a decent National Match Course of fire event right before the Creedmoor Cup as a tune up.
